Melissa Tattam

Melissa completed ballet training at the Queensland Dance School of Excellence and Queensland Ballet Professional Year. In 2003 she was a founding member of the Tasmanian Classical Ballet Company before returning to Queensland Ballet. Melissa performed soloist and Principal roles in many Queensland Ballet productions including Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and The Little Mermaid. Melissa has toured internationally with the company to Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, China, Japan and Singapore. She has performed featured roles in ballets by choreographers Nils Christe, Kim McCarthy, Natalie Weir, Mario Schröder, Stephan Thoss, Young Soon Hue and Gareth Belling.

She featured in Collusion Music’s Transient Beauty in 2012 and 2014, and Lucid Dance Theatre’s Dancing with Bach 2012 & 2013 seasons. She also appeared with Benjamin Greaves in Gareth Belling’s Intimate Distance during Ausdance Dance Week 2013 and in 'My Latin Heart', as part of Brisbane's 2014 Cabaret Festival. In 2015 she danced in the premiere season of Collusion’s DESIRELINES.
Melissa is now a practising Physiotherapist with an interest in dance injuries and injury prevention.
